Scholarships

In honor of Ms. Brannon’s enduring legacy, The Faythe Marie Brannon Foundation is proud to award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at Bowen High School and Harlan High School. The two institutions where Faythe passionately taught and mentored for many years. These scholarships are more than financial assistance; they represent a commitment to lifting up the next generation just as Faythe did every single day.

We believe that every young person deserves a chance to rise to be seen and supported. Faythe made it her mission to open doors for others, especially those who came from underrepresented backgrounds in tech and academia. It is in that same spirit that we offer this scholarship.

The inaugural Foundation scholarships were issued to a deserving senior at both Bowen High School and Harlan High School – two of the high schools close to Ms. Brannon's heart. Each senior was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Foundation.

  • Jeremiah Carter (Bowen HS class of 2025) graduated at the top of his class as the Valedictorian and was among the top five scholarship recipients of his class. Mr. Carter earned a 4.0 grade point average and is looking forward to furthering his education and athletic pursuits in college.
  • Jameel Patterson (Harlan HS class of 2025) graduated second in his class with a 3.7 grade point average. Jameel excelled in various varsity sports in high school and is excited to pursue his undergraduate degree at St. Xavier University.
